Hi, I’m Esterina.
I am working to re-map a life with a slower pace and more intentional living. I blog and do YouTube videos around this life—designed to offer a quiet moment of calm and encouragement in a noisy world.
I’ve always loved filming. I saved up for my first Sony camcorder in college, interned in the production department with Fox Sports Midwest, and worked behind the camera long before I ever thought to turn it on myself. The days are long, but the years are short when I finally realized I’d lost touch with the creative part of me that once felt so alive.
In 2021, during a kitchen remodel, I couldn’t find the perfect cutting board—so my therapist encouraged me to make it. That simple challenge sparked something big. I signed up for a 1:1 shop safety class, and from the first cut, I was hooked. I started Tavolo Studios later that year to craft the kinds of pieces I’d want to use in my own kitchen: beautiful, functional, food-safe boards made from single-species hardwoods like walnut and maple.
But woodworking isn’t the only thing I share here. My videos are quiet, intentional, and gently personal—whether I’m sanding a board or minimizing decision fatigue. I’m not trying to sell you anything. I just want to invite you into the kind of home and headspace where things feel a little slower, a little calmer, and a little more true.
Whether you're here to learn something new, breathe a little deeper, or just enjoy the process—I hope you feel welcome.
Come on in, put on some slippers… let’s make something beautiful.
